Luke joined Bawden Tree Care in 2023, with a focus on developing his career in arboriculture and in particular tree surveying.
At university he studied Environmental Science, achieving a BSc and then went on to complete a Master's in Biodiversity and Conservation. Luke's passion for trees and the environment has led him to continue in his quest for greater knowledge, completing a Level 4 Diploma in Arboriculture (Tree Management) since joining the business.
Luke's key responsibilities in his role involve the preparation of tree surveys of all types, discussing with customers and clients their needs and requirements, offering advice and guidance when needed.
Undertaking tree surveys in relation to their health, Health & Safety and BS5837:2012 Trees in relation to demolition, design and construction. These involve preparing arboricultural reports, mapping tree locations and identifying species in the field. Reporting on defects and diseases within trees and woodland, making appropriate recommendations for remedial works to improve the health of tree stock and as mitigation measures.
He is a "Professional" member of the Arboricultural Association, entitling him to use the post-nominals "MArborA".
Outside of work, Luke enjoys spending quality time with his family and is currently kept busy with his newborn daughter. When time allows, he enjoys long countryside walks, relaxing on the beach, playing online games with friends, painting war gaming models or quietly reading a historical or fantasy novel.
