Tree Planting
As a dedicated professional tree company, we don’t just remove trees, we love to be adding them back to the environment! Often, newly planted trees can fail within the first year or two due to incorrect planting, which is regrettable and completely unnecessary. We pride ourselves in taking the time and care to ensure that any tree we plant will have the best chance to not only survive but thrive. We also believe that good practice begins even before it is in the ground!
Consultancy.
If you would like to, we can first discuss with you what species you may want to plant and provide recommendations on what would be appropriate for the area you want to plant in. What is the condition of the soil? Does the area get waterlogged frequently? Is the area sunny or in the shade? There are many factors to consider, and different trees will thrive better in different environments.
Meeting your needs
Once the trees have been decided, we are happy to source, provide, and/or plant to your needs and specifications. Carrying out best practice procedures, we will;
- Check the trees we purchase for any defects that may impede their ability to grow
- Prepare and mark out the site,
- Ensure correct spacing between plants.
- Dig the holes deep and wide enough
- Plant carefully and to the correct depth. Ensuring an upright position
- Add any additional fertilizer or mulch to the hole to provide the nutrients it will need to establish
- Stake and secure new trees as needed to provide stability
Additional services.
If your trees need that extra bit of stability or help. We can provide additional services and materials along with the planting.
- Spiral guards and tube shelters. Can protect the tree from rodents and mammals which may predate on the new growth.
- Stock fencing. For the need to protect the trees when the smaller guards will not be adequate. Often used to protect against domestic livestock and deer grazing.
- Spot spraying. Can help remove any weeds or unwanted growth around the tree to reduce the competition.
