Local Tree Surgeons, Bawden Tree Care, wins Salisbury City Council contract
Bawden Tree Care, a division of Bawden Contracting Services Limited of Amesbury, Wiltshire, has won the contract to provide tree surgery services to Salisbury City Council. Following a competitive tender process, Bawden Tree Care was awarded the three year term contract, with a potential one year extension, commencing on 1st May 2016.
Bawden has been carrying out tree surgery works in Wiltshire and Dorset for over 35 years, building a strong reputation for service delivery. Since achieving ‘Approved Contractor’ status with the Arboricultural Association in December 2014 the company has won several large contracts and ‘Framework’ appointments for County Councils and other organisations for which accredited professional competency is a pre-requisite.
The Salisbury City Council contract comprises all tree surgery works, the surveying of tree stock in the City Centre, woodland management, planting, consultancy on tree biomechanics, defects, pests and diseases, development of a tree safety strategy, and emergency call out works.
Bawden’s Tree Care Manager David Abrahams is delighted to have won the contract: “Bawden Tree Care is a local company, near Salisbury, that employs local tree surgeons. We are proud to hold this contract and relish the challenge of maintaining Salisbury’s existing tree stock and ensuring future generations continue to enjoy this beautiful tree-filled city.”
